This Political Report, no. 61 of 1860, regards the conduct of the Sheikh [Shaikh] of the village of Bokha [Barkā’, Oman] towards his neighbours, the Joasmee [Qasimi] Arabs, and potentially destructive to maritime tranquillity. It discusses subsequent incurred fines and the means of their recovery. The letter then records the recovery of a sum from the Chief of Himreeah [Hamriyah], taken to account for the plunder of some females.
