The letter reports on the expansion, and consolidation of the power of Feerooz Meerza, Prince of Fars Province; it notes that Behbeham [Behbehān] is almost completely subjugated, but that Lars is still not under control.

It is further reported that as a result of these military advances Shaikh Saeed ben Guzeeb, Chief of Lingah [Bandar-e-Lengeh], has sought the assistance of Shaikh Sultan ben Suggur [Sulṭān bin Saqr] to evacuate women and children.

The report also mentions that the Prince of Fars has sent out instructions to Lingah, Asseeloo, and Congoon, prohibiting the slave trade; it is noted that it is the opinion of the Resident that these measures are unlikely to achieve results. It also notes that an expedition against Karrack [Bandar-e Chārak], and Bakir Khan is being discussed.

As for Bushire, the letter reports that the town is prosperous, its fortifications are being strengthened, and that there is satisfaction with the new Dwrya Beggee. It further mentions that the Suibaz have been committing petty robberies, and that Hajee Kuwam has been reprimanded for attempting to create tensions between the Suibaz and the British Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. .
