Content

Sheil reports on the Persian Government's protest at European merchants selling their goods to Persian Government workers on credit. Sheil writes that the Persian Government is complaining that the practice is putting many Persians in debt, who are subsequently imprisoned and their houses seized. He continues that the Government requests the cooperation of European merchants in abstaining from extending credit to Persian Government servants in future.
