About this record

Content

Kemball writes that an interview has taken place between himself and Shaikh Ali ben Khuleefa [‘Alī bin Khalīfah], the brother of the Chief of Bahrain. Though he says he did not receive Hamerton's previous letter (ff 18-19) until after the meeting took place, he states that he instructed Shaikh Ali of the 'absolute neutrality' of the Imam of Muscat, Sa‘id bin Sulṭān al-Sa‘id, with regard to the current affairs in Bahrain.
