Translation of letter No.416 aatea the 19tii September 1934
from the Resiaency Agent,Sharjah to the Honourable
Colonel Loch, Officiating Political Resident A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency. in the Persia:
Gulf, Bushire.
Reference your confidential letter No«6 l
the 2nd July 1934 in which you orderea me to send a
reliable ana intelligent person to Buraimi ana its
surroundings ana also to Dnafrah, Sabkhat Matti, Sakak and
Ambak in oraer to make secret enquiries.

1 beg to inform you that 1 have sent my cousin to the
said places ana enclose the papers relating tj the -v
enquiries which he had maae. He, however, aia not go as
far as Sabkhat Matti, Mubak and ^akak as it 7;as very hot
then and no one was living there. He made secret enquiries
from a man who belonged to those places and enclose the
information which he had collected about them.
I enclose a statement showing the expenditure incurred
for going to those places. If we aia not hire the Shaikh-
of the Manasir, Ghanim bin Yuraiw ana the Shaikh of Dahaban
al T Amiri, they would not have been able to go there. These
people acted as their companions and took them to those
places where they made enquiries. Please issue your oraers
for the payment of them amount spent on the beaouins ana
others during the journey of my cousin which took him
55 aays to make the enquiries.

have been sent to the Political ^gent,Sahrain.
