new Bahrein Order in Council A regulation issued by the sovereign of the United Kingdom on the advice of the Privy Council. , I am directed by Secretary Sir Edward Grey

the correspondence ending w ith Sir Eyre Crowe's letter of the 19th Xovember
191No. 52,351, regarding the Bahrein Order in Council A regulation issued by the sovereign of the United Kingdom on the advice of the Privy Council. , 1913.
It will be remembered that the text of this Order was published in the
<< o 0I1C ^ 0n ^ aze ^ e ' the 15th August 1913, but that its republication in the
Gazette of India, ' as required by Article 79 (1) of the Order, was postponed at
t k desue of the Secretary of State lor foreign Affairs, pending the completion
of negotiations then in progress with Turkey and other Powers interested in
the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. .
I am to enquire whether, in the wholly different circumstances now
pic\ailing, there is any objection to the Bahrein Order being brought into
operation without further delay. If not, the Marquess of Crewe would propose
to authorise its publication in the "Gazette of India " at once, and to give such
further instructions as may be necessary to bring its provisions into force.

Order 111 Council, 1913, I am directed by Secretary Sir Edward Grey to state,
for the infoimation ol the Marquess oi' Crewe, that in the wholly different
circujustances now prevailing there is, in his opinion, no objection to its
publication in the Gazette of India and to the issue of any further instructions
on the subject which may appear to Lord Crewe desirable.
