(N.B.—This is an original message, sent by air mail to save telegraphic
expense, but intended to be treated on receipt with the same expedition as

V/ith reference? to the correspondence ending with my
telegram No.1466 of 11th May, and your telegram No,T/l36
of the same date, copy is enclosed of the revised form, as
approved here, of the draft letter to be addressed to the
Sheikh, copy of which was enclosed v/ith your express letter
of 26th April 1935, No.382-S«
2. The following alterations in the copy of the
Government agreement sent to you by air mail of 16th March
1934, have also been agreed on with the Company:-
(a) Preamble: After date insert "is".
(b) Clause 6, line 1: Amend to read "any right given to
the Company under its".
(c) Clause 11, line 3: Omit words "under the terms of
that Agreement"♦
(d) As reference to "national emergency" has been
omitted in Clause 6 of Commercial Agreement, it is no
longer necessary to insert as Clause 7 of Government
Agreement a clause in terms of Article 7 of Koweit
Government Agreement.
(e) Refining Clause is in same terms as in Koweit
Agreement*
(f) In Schedule regarding preemption, at end of paragraph
3 insert a reference to the Arbitration Act of 1934.
