Hand drawn sketch map of Tunb Island [Greater Tunb] in the eastern part of the Persian Gulf Historically used by the British to refer to the sea area between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. Often referred to as The Gulf or the Arabian Gulf. produced to accompany a report compiled to establish the island’s suitability for use as a naval base (folios 5-7).
Contains notations concerning the coastal and terrain features with settlement, location of wells, lighthouse, road and landing marked.
