The volume contains correspondence between the Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. at Bahrain and the Political Resident A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency. at Bushire on the oil concession in Saudi Arabia, the activities of California Arabian Standard Oil Company (CASOC) in Hasa, Saudi Arabia, and the development of the port and the refinery at Ras Tannura (also mentioned as Ras Tanurah). There are also documents on the Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency.
