I know Ifusuf Fakhru denls in gold fron time to
time,and thought rou might like to have a chance of catching
his emissary. Though the objection to gold going to Bushire
(see your telegram Wo.420 of March 5th,1917) possibly does
not now stand,it might easily get from luhammareh to the Turkp,
•Ali Musa has since telegraphed for more liras (see
my memorandum -lo. 10655 of October 17th, 1917).
