Letter regarding Pelly's report on Palgrave's journey; the arrival of Hugh Rose at Gwadur and the recent crisis in the cotton market.

The letter also discuses rumours that Torkee ben[Turki bin] Sedairee, the Wahabee [Wahhabi] lieutenant, has been killed and enclosing an old letter from the Governor of Fars whom Pelly intends to visit in order to discuss Persia's intentions with regards to Bunder Abbass [Bandar Abbas]. The letter referred to is no longer enclosed.
