Content

Samuel Hennell refers to his earlier letter to Malcolm, no. 402, dated 24 December 1849, and states that Malcolm may find answers to his questions in the British and Russian commercial treaties that were concluded with Persia. Hennell informs Malcolm that copies of both of these treaties can be found in the Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India.
