Justin Sheil acknowledges the receipt of Samuel Hennell's despatch of 11 September 1850, no. 349, which concerned an act of piracy that was committed in 1845, on a boat belonging to Hajee Yacoob. Sheil asks Hennell if there was any particular reason why he did not make an application to Colonel Farrant regarding this matter.
