Hennell reports on his arrival at Muscat, and his meeting with Sheikh Saeed ben Tahnoon [Sa'id bin Tahnun] ruler of Aboothabee [Abu Dhabi]. Hennell and Sheikh Sa'id discuss mediations between Bahrain and the Wahhabi tribe, the Maritime Truce, and relations between Abu Dhabi and Kishm [Qeshm]. Hennell also describes a new boat purchased by Sheikh Sa'id, which he suspected has been purchased with the help of Ameer Fysul [Amir Faisal] the Wahhabi Chief.
