Letter enclosing three reports [not included in the file] from Commodore George Robinson, Commanding Officer of the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. Squadron, on proceedings on the Arab coast. Kemball writes that Robinson has met with the Sharjah Agent Hajee Yacoob, who reports of further violations of the Maritime Truce amongst the various towns on the Arab Coast, including an act of piracy committed by subjects of Ra's al-Khaymah. Kemball writes of the proposal to have the Company's ship Tigris patrol the pearling banks this pearling season.

A single enclosure (numbered 4) is enclosed, a translation of a letter (ff 101-103) from Kemball to Sheikh Sultan ben Suggur [Sultan bin Saqr], Chief of Rusel Khymah [Ra's al-Khaymah], dated 21 June 1852. Kemball writes that intelligence has reached him of a boat belonging to the subjects of Ra's al-Khaymah, which had seized slaves and other goods on board another vessel at Zanzibar, before sinking that vessel. Kemball writes that Commodore [Robinson] is proceeding to Ra's al-Khaymah to make enquiries into the incident, and requests that the perpetrators of this act of piracy be imprisoned by the Sheikh.
