In relation to the reparations to be made to the British agent at Sharjah, Hajee Yacoob, Kemball encloses a copy of a letter (ff 156-58), sent by Lieutenant Adams, commanding officer of the Company's ship Queen , to Commodore George Robinson, Commanding Indian Navy Squadron in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , dated 1 September 1852. The report describes the recent tour of the Queen along the Arab coast, including the despatch and receipt of letters from the British agents at Sharjah and Lingah [Bandar-e Lengeh]. Adams writes of his meeting with Sheikh Abdoola [Abdullah] of Sharjah, to resolve the business of the ill-treatment by his people of the British agent Hajee Yacoob.
