The letter relates to the disturbances occurring between the maritime tribes of Oman and the Arab coast, and diplomatic exchanges between the Wahhabi leader Abdullah bin Fysul and the region's tribal chiefs. It encloses four reports from the Native Agent Non-British agents affiliated with the British Government. at Sharjah Hajee Yacoob [Hajji Yaqoob], dated 28 August (folio 234), 6 October (folios 227-28 and folios 229-31) and 7 October (folios 232-33). The letters report that the Sheikhs of Rusul Khymah [Ra's al-Khaymah] and Aboothabee [Abu Dhabi] have met with Yaqoob to discuss the dispute between them, and the reparations to be made. The letters also report on the case of a slave who has run away from Sharjah and taken refuge at Debai [Dubai].
