Responding to Kemball's predecessor's last letter (f 311), Malet writes that, though it has long been forbidden by Government to exchange presents, he sees no objection of a gift to the value of 2000 rupees Indian silver coin also widely used in the Persian Gulf. being made to the Imam of Muscat, before his departure for Zanzibar.
