The letter relates to Kemball’s previous reports of the liberation of slaves purchased by pilgrims at Lingah [Bandar-e Lengeh]. In response to Anderson’s previous communication in the matter (IOR/R/15/1/143, ff 358-59) Kemball writes to confirm the punishment of those selling the slave was a fine over and above the price charged for the two slaves sold.
