The letter is an acknowledgement of receipt of Kemball’s earlier letter (folio 25) relating to efforts to trace and punish a Muscat subject guilty of trading a Somali girl. Anderson requests that Kemball instruct the Native Agent Non-British agents affiliated with the British Government. at Muscat to report on the progress of the Sultan of Muscat Syud Soweynee’s [Thuwaynī bin Sa‘id al-Sa‘id] efforts to punish the man responsible, once he has returned to Muscat.
