The letter is an acknowledgement of receipt of the Resident in the Persian Gulf Historically used by the British to refer to the sea area between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. Often referred to as The Gulf or the Arabian Gulf. , Captain Arnold Kemball’s earlier letter relating to tribe movements on the Arab coast. Anderson writes that the Government approves of proceedings.
