The letter and its enclosure relate to two further reports of acts of piracy committed at Sharjah. Jones encloses the translated purport of a letter (folios 162v-63) he has addressed to Shaikh Sultan ben Suggur [Sultan bin Saqr], dated 30 December 1855. This letter is a further warning to the Shaikh regarding the conduct of his people and the Shaikh’s son, Ibrahim bin Sultan.
