The letter concerns a petition from Ahmed Uzem [Aḥmad ‘Aẓīm], in which he claimed that two boats captured by Captain Sumley of HMS Topaze were in fact his property. It explains that the claim is truthful, and that the Resident has made arrangements for the boats to be restored to him.
