The letter is reporting that the Resident has departed from Bushire and arrived at Bassidore [Bāsaʻīdū].

It further reports that the troops have been embarked on their transports for Bombay, along with the HC Cruizer Vestal , which is charged with conveying the records of the Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. at Qeshm. As a result, the Resident requests copies of all correspondence sent to and from the Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. , up to the arrival of Lieutenant-Colonel Brackley Kennett.
