The letter is directing Assistant Surgeon Thomas Bradley to take charge of the medical duties of the Bushire Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. (in addition to his duties aboard the HC Cruizer Teignmouth ), until the will of Government is known. It notes that sickness is still prevailing in that region of the Gulf.
