of its operations; but it will not be permitted to sell
these articles to others; and it has the right to export
its petroleum, products and articles previously imported
by it free of Customs, import or export duty or taxes or
other charges; but the Company shall pay the ordinary duty
charged from British merchants in the State of Qatr on all
personal goods, clothing and general merchandise and food
supplies imported by it for the personal use of its employees.
And the Company, its operations, incomes and profits and
properties shall be exempt and free from all present and
future taxes and charges of any kind as long as this
Agreement endures.
CQiiaition ^lev^rit-L- . I, Shaikh Abdullah bin Qasim ath-Thani
will aflord all the necessary assistance to the Company for
facilitating the carrying out of -fehis Agreement, and will
likewise do all that I can to protect its employees and
properties. The Company can, after consultation with me,
appoint guards to assist in protecting the Company 1 s employees
and properties.
Condition Tv/elfth . If the Company desires to transfer this
agreement to any other commercial company, it is permissible
for her to do; but the Company is not permitted to transfer
it to any Government; and it is necessary that the Company
to which this Agreement is transferred should be able to fulfil
all the duties and obligations of this Agreement. Similarly,
if the Company finds it necessary to form another Company or
subsidiary companies under its own control for the working of
this Agreement, it is permissible for it to do so. All such
