The letter expresses the author's pessimism about the likelihood of the English receiving assistance from the Caun [Karim Khan] for the expedition against Carrack [Kharg] Island, and outlines what to do should it not materialise. The order to lessen the Company's stock at Bushire is repeated, informing that the Revenge and the Essex are being sent down for this purpose.
