The letter confirms the handing over of the Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. by Benjamin Jervis and his departure for Bombay. Also discusses the reasons for Carem Khaun's [Karim Khan] refusal to reply to the Agent's letter, and the prevailing fear at Bushire of an attack by Meer Mahanna [Mīr Muhanna].
