The letter discusses the poor state of the woollen trade and expresses the hope that things will improve once perpets arrive from Bombay and the merchants arrive from Corasoon [Khorāsān]. A trankey that was sent to Bushire by the Company broker Often a local commercial agent in the Gulf who regularly performed duties of intelligence gathering and political representation. at Muscat is also mentioned, as well as the fact that Meer Mahanna [Mīr Muhanna] has not replied to the author's letter yet.
