The letter is an update on the expedition against Carrack [Kharg] and covers several things:
- Sheik Ise [Sheikh ‘Isa] has been ordered to prepare the Bushire fleet for transporting the Persian troops;
- the Chaub's [Banu Ka‘b] gallivats (a type of large boat) and some of those from Ormuse [Hormuz] are believed to also be joining the expedition;
- the sick and wounded have still not left for Bombay due to a lack of provisions and no available vessel;
- a readiness to withdraw from Bushire should no Persian troops have been sent by the time Skipp returns from Shiraz.
