The letter is cover for a shipment of woollens aboard the Defiance and gives reasons for recent poor sales. Also given is the news that the Khan's army has not yet left Schyrass [Shiraz], due to the caution of the Hallaw [Hula] and Julfar [ Qawāsim One of the ruling families of the United Arab Emirates; also used to refer to a confederation of seafaring Arabs led by the Qāsimī tribe from Ras al Khaima. ] Arabs in lending their gallivats to his cause.
