About this record

Content

The letter is an order to join the convoy for the Adriana under Captain John McKenly's command.

At the foot of the letter is a note reading 'The Same to Lieutenant John Burkit in Command of the Dolphin Schooner and Lieutenant Rich Field in Command of the Wolfe gallivat.' This is taken to mean that the same order was given to these individuals but the letters have not been copied out in full.
