The letter reports the local apprehension about Meer Mahanna [Mīr Muhanna] with many fearing to go to sea, making it difficult to send letters to Basra. Inconsistencies in the orders given by Captain Charles Elphinstone to those vessels which gave the Adriana convoy are also discussed. A request for money is made.
