The letter relays reports that twenty-five of Meer Mahanna's [Mīr Muhanna] men have deserted at Bunderick [Bandar Rig]. Also reports that people sent away from Carrack [Kharg] as unfit for service have arrived at Bushire and report that over 100 people were killed in the initial English attack.
