Letter authorising Messrs Remington to withdraw Pelly's balance from the old bank of bombay and use it to pay for his shares in the new bank; and to collect on various interests and safety deposit receipts and to sell some of his shares in order to purchase the new shares.

The letter also includes a complete list of all the shares, with instructions and the amounts they are worth along with their sum total and the remaining amount to be paid in order to purchase the seventy-two shares.

The letter book has been turned upside down and the correspondence relating to banking and financial matters has been entered from back to front, therefore the correspondence itself is upside down in relation to the folio numbers.
