had discussed the matter with the Commission and that,
while he was of course unaxmre of the actual finding
of that Commission, he had understood from them that
they if ere on the whole favourable to his views and
would report in that sense to their superiors, that
they admitted the land in dispute to be the Sheikh's
property enjoyed for many years and that with regard
to the safety of ^he ^ort f it was true that a aone of
600 metres said even more was required by the regu-

complaining,from which it was difficult to ascertain
