. On the 17th the Hon’ble Sir Geoffrey prior. K.C.I.E.,

(ii) On the 23rd Mr. A.V. Alexander, First Lord of the
Admiralty, landed in Bahrain. He visited the Naval Base and
also came to the Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. to see the political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. .
