I have received your kind letter lo.C/H3o, dated 23rd
December 1945 corresponding to 18th Muharram 1365, which I have
been pleased to read. As regards what you say that there is a
danger on the arms carried by the nakhudas in their boats to be
confiscated if they are not in possession of licences. Inshallah
we will carry out the decision of the Honourable the Political
Resident in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. and every nakhuda of our subjects
will be granted a licence for the arms in his boat, and send a
copy of it to the Political Officer, Trucial Coast A name used by Britain from the nineteenth century to 1971 to refer to the present-day United Arab Emirates. .
