Legation at Cairo expect to leave Cairo on 9th May in
United States aircraft with crew of five. Party hope to
spend night at Bahrain (or failing that at Basra) and to
reach Kiyadh following day. Mr.Kirk whose object is to
present his letters of credence to Ibn Saud preferably
does not expect to stay more than a few days.
3. Mr. Kirk expresses hope that at Bahrain (or
Basra if he spends night there) there will be as few formal
ities as are consistent with courtesy ends.
