BAH ft A tN RECEIPT.
TranFlation :
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, Gompassionate.
M I no ^ seek, as far as I can, save after reform;
my success is dependent on none save Allah, on Whom
I rely and unto Whom I return (in the hereafter)" -
A verse from Koran.
fou “ May God bless you - are aware that to every state
or Kingdom there is an heir-apparent and that it is more
to the interest of the government, the state and the people
to have their affairs organised to adapt to the necessity of
the state of affairs and the circumstances. With this
object in view, I haVe decided to appoint one of my sons,
in whom I find aptitude and efficiency, and whom you first
choose by yourselves, as my successor. After you have
chosen one and I have agreed to him and after I have
nominated him and obtained your acknowledgement of him
as my successor, I will delcare him as my heir-apparent.
It is, therefore, for this reason that I have summoned you
to display to you my intention, relying, in so doing, on
Allah,'Glorified be he, who is the leader to what is good,
who giveth success to who resorts to Him and Who failth
who prides in any one besides Him. And as I see none of my
sons is more suitable for succession than Ali, I ask you
your views wishing you to inform me df your feelings
towards this matter, so that I g/ny know that the action
is based on sound reasoning, discernment of facts and
truthful intention. Nothing acceptable to Allah save
truth and faithfulness in work. We pray to God to help us
unto what is good and unto a commendable ending and to
make our work suGGessful. ' May He guida who becomes the
successor to this Sheikhdom to what will contribute
beneficially to ourselves, our religion, our country,
our people and to all muslims.
