Summary of theoretical astronomy (هيئة) by Bahā’ al-Dīn Muḥammad ibn Ḥusayn al-‘Āmilī (بهاء الدين محمد بن حسين العاملي; d. 1621) in which he argues that the earth rotates around its axis.

ربّنا ما خلقت هذا باطلًا سبحانك فقنا عذاب

النار واجعلني من المتفكرين في خلق السموات و

الأرض واختلاف الليل والنّهار وصلى على بدر

سماء النبوة ...

Ends (f. 56v, lines 2-5):

... فإذا مضى من نصف النهار بقدر تلك

الساعات والدقائق إن زاد طول البلد أو بقي له بقدره

إن نقص فظل المقياس خط سمت القبلة وهي إلى

خلاف جهت الظلّ ...
