D.^. No.3822-3/24 The 8th December, 1947.
Will you pleuse refer to your demi-official
letter No.91-10 dated the 25th November, 1947, on the
subject of dangerous drugs.
21 I have the following comments to make on
the draft Elan.
a) In the preamble the authority who will
classify drugs as dangerous, should be
defined instead of leaving it to the
"Bahrain Govemraent".
b) The terms "authorised medical practi
tioner" in paragraph 2, and "Police"
and "State Medical authorities" in
paragraph 3, should similarly be de
fined and specified.
c) No penalty is provided in the draft for
failure to comply with the rules.
d) I consider it desirable to specify,
as in Elan No.51/1366 dated the 2nd
August, 1947 , the shoos selling these
drugs. This list can be amended from
time to time.
3. If you agree, will you kindly incorporate
these suggestions in the draft and let me see it
again.
Yours sincerely,
C.D. Belgrave, Esq., C.B.E.,
Adviser to the Bahrain Government,
Bahrain .
