About this item


Christmas and New Year greeting card entitled 'Greetings from Bahrain'. The card has a coloured map of Bahrain on folio 252, and features important sites in Bahrain, including, Shaikh's Hunting Lodge, Oil Wells and Water Wells. Folio 253v includes a photograph of the ancient mosque [of Manama now called al-Khamis Mosque]. Folio 254 has both printed and hand written greetings sent by Mr Kennard Foulkes. Folio 255v gives the publisher information which is Ashraf Bros. Bahrain. On folios 251 and 256 there is correspondence regarding the card.

Dimensions: 150 x 110 mm.

Foliation: the item is numbered 252- 255. These numbers are written in pencil and enclosed in a circle and appear on the top right hand corner of the recto The front of a sheet of paper or leaf, often abbreviated to 'r'. side of each folio.
