I am directed to invite a reference to the correspondence
ending with the llemorandum from the Government of India in the
Foreign and Political Department No* 687-E*B* # dated the tfth
December 1918, sanctionirg the payment of the stipend of 50
dollars a month to Sultan Umar bin Kahtan of Upper Yafa until
the close of the financial year ending on the 31st March 1919*
