In reply to your letter of the 11th. instant P.4557
regarding certain merchants of Shikarpur engaged in trade
with Kerman via bunder Abbas, I am directed by Secretary
Sir Edward G-rey to state, for the information of the
Marquess of Crewe, that the letter from this office to the
merchants in question, dated the 16th of June and enclosed
in copy in your letter under reply, appears to meet the
ca^se now as it did in June last, and Sir E. G-rey has,
therefore, nothing to add to that communication.

Most of the representations are from the merchant community of Shikarpur, who had agents in the affected region of Persia.
