2. We enclose four copies of the Arabic text of the
sea-bed proclamation issued by the Shaikh of Bahrain.
3. Foul* copies each of the Arabic text, as were
sent to the Shaikh of Qatar and to the Trucial Coast The historic term used by the British to refer to the Gulf coast of Trucial Oman, now called United Arab Emirates.

Stobart reports that his Arab Assistant was present
at the, signature of all proclamations on the Trucial
Coast and that the actual documents used were, in each
case physically, that forwarded from here. Jacomb
reports that the Qatar proclamation was also issued
in the same form as it was sent to the Ruler, though

English, which my interpreter could make out is that"
the word ^ay* before * underlie* in paragraph 2 was not
translated and therefore the sentence implies the
definite existence of natural resources.
