Subject Matter: Photograph of a six-wheel flatbed truck with a four-wheel trailer attached, and loaded with long metal pipes, used by the California Arabian Standard Oil Company at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Most of the truck’s cab is cropped out of the photograph’s right-hand edge, so that the truck’s make and model is not discernible. The truck is stationary and stands on a flat, bare surface. Lying on the ground alongside the truck is an additional piece of metal piping. A series of black circles to the left-hand side of the photograph may indicate further pipes lying alongside each other on the ground. Above these possible pipes is a faint vertical line; possibly a mast or pylon in the distance.

Dimensions: 82 mm x 111 mm
Condition: The print is in good condition, though the left-hand side of the photograph is slightly faded, probably a result of overexposure to light.
Foliation: The photograph bears two numbers: a circled 57 and an uncircled 138. The folio number that should be used for referencing purposes is on the plastic sleeve in which the photograph is held (49)
