April (p.Z.2729/37), regarding the attempts of an Italian named
Pastori to recruit labour in the
Persian Gulf

in Eritrea, we agree with your proposal that you should telegraph
to the Resident suggesting that a friendly warning should he
conveyed to the Sultan of Muscat, and to any other Ruler whose
territory Pastori may subsequently visit.
2. Prom Tehran telegram No.58 of the 4th May, which we
are sending you under separate cover (E 2478/27/91;, you will
see that Pastori is now in Iran with the same object, and may
if he is unsuccessful there, go on to Basra.
