as a rule, the annual rent of
premises is taken to be 3 per
cent, of their capital value.
Mr. Thaddeus at present
obtains a rent of £. T. 20 a
year (and had been offered not
long ago one of £. T. 35) for
this shop which would make
its capital value on the prin
ciple described £. T. 666 and
the capital value of the por
tion lost (2371-7900 of the
whole) £. T. 199. This figure
agrees very closely with that
given in the detailed estimate.
