The map also indicates hydrology and settlements (Nasria, Elua, Basrah, Mohammera, Fao) with brief descriptions of topography, vegetation such as date gardens, and the residence of a notable sheikh. Water levels are indicated by detailed numbering.
The map was printed by the Simla Drawing Office and includes a printing statement which reads 'S.D.O. No. 1373 September, 1915'.
